According to ANSA, the US president Donald Trump declared he has the support of the Cuban people and his government will “straighten out” the island.

Trump stated he believes the relations between Cuba and the US “will eventually normalize”, but warned the “Cuban authorities do not do the right things. And when they don’t do the right thing, we’re not going to do the right thing."

“We have to be strong with Cuba. The Cuban people are incredible people. They support me very strongly. But we’ll get Cuba straightened out,” Trump said.

According to ANSA, the President gave such statements to journalists after his return to the White House from Camp David.

Besides playing the fool with the allegedly support of the Cuban people, the US president must focus himself on the growing frustration of the people with his administration after one year in office.

An Associate Press poll shows that Americans see with frustration their country and the president Donald Trump as the 2017 is coming to an end.

The survey The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research point out that only 30 % of citizens believe the US is going down the right path, while 52 % of surveyed people think the US has gotten worse since Trump took office.

Another survey of the media —The Washington Post and ABC network— reveals that only 37 % of Americans approve Trump’s performance so far.

That’s the lowest presidential approval rating since the time of Harry Truman (1945-1953).

65 % of citizens believe Trump has done “nothing” or “almost nothing” since he took office.

With such nonsense on Cuba, little can be expected from Trump in his quest to restore the relations between the island and the US.
