Former Venezuela ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS), Roy Chaderton, accused the U.S. administration of maintaining today a manipulative and interventionist attitude regarding the government of President Nicolas Maduro.

The United States has created an artificial situation in order to set some precedents for a military intervention in Venezuela, journalist Ernesto Villegas said during the 'Siete Preguntas' program, broadcast every Monday night by multi-state Telesur channel.

For the diplomat, the outbreaks of violence in the streets to generate anxiety in the nation by the national opposition and the international right wing, plus the induced shortages of supplies, are part of a funded and conducted strategy from the U.S. territory.

This situation is induced by our enemies and also by our mistakes, he said.

He also stated that 'there is no humanitarian crisis in the country, a difficult situation has been sparked off.'

Although Maduro has not been the only leader who has faced difficult situations, he has directed the international policy effectively, he said.

Regarding the recently concluded 17th Summit of Non-Aligned Movement, held in Margarita Island, Nueva Esparta state, he stated that the conclave will be fruitful in mid and long term for all nations of the South.

The Summit showed that Venezuela has great international support and it is in a stronger position against the threats from the great empires of the world, he concluded.
