On the second anniversary of the referendum on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (EU), thousands of Britons took to the streets to demand a second consultation on the so-called Brexit.

As a sign of discontent with the government's handling of the separation process, the protesters marched from the Pall Mall, in the center of this capital, to the Parliament Square, and asked for a return to the polls to decide whether or not to accept the possible final agreement with Brussels, which should be ready in October.

Organized by the pro-European group The People's Vote, the demonstration brought together citizens of all ages and is celebrated at the time that important figures of the Executive, such as the Foreign Affairs Minister, Boris Johnson, defended a definitive break with the EU.

According to the Guardian newspaper, other marches, although with less participation, are held in this city to request the breaking of ties with Brussels.

On June 23, 2016, 17 million 410 thousand 742 Britons decided to leave the community block and, despite numerous meetings between the representatives of both parties, there are still outstanding issues of great importance as the border with Ireland.

According to a YouGov survey published by The Times newspaper, 66 percent of citizens believe that the conservative administration is mishandling the EU divorce, while only 21 percent support the Executive.
