Featured Venezuela Celebrates UN 'Multilateralism And Diplomacy Victory'

The United States received a blow as it seeks to, yet again, increase sanctions on Venezuela and justify a forced departure of the government of President Nicolas Maduro.

Venezuela Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza announced, on Twitter, a democratic victory for the Bolivarian Republic after a United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) approved a Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (Mnoal) resolution.

Thursday the UNHRC votes included 27 for, five abstentions and 15 against to favor of the resolution, which was presented by the South American country to expose the negative effects of unilateral coercive measures against nations.

The United States received a blow as it seeks to, yet again, increase sanctions on Venezuela and effectively administer harm to the peoples of the Republic and justify a forced departure of the government of President Nicolas Maduro.

Arreaza remarked that the momentous achievement, which counters the United States’ actions, was yet "another great victory of multilateralism and peace diplomacy."

Attention! In Geneva, the UN Human Rights Council approved by a large majority resolution presented by Venezuela on behalf of @MNOAL_NAM on the negative effects of unilateral coercive measures (sanctions) on human rights. Another victory of Multilateralism and Diplomacy of Peace!

Recently, a team from the UNHRC visited the South American country to conduct an assessment of the situation, prompting UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet to express concern about the effects of the coercive measures being imposed on Venezuelans.

The United States and allies have made numerous declarations and leveled accusations, supported by false narratives, of an alleged "humanitarian crisis" incubated by the refusal of aid.

One such allegation implied ‘the impeding of the delivery of aid by the United States,’ but was discredited after leaked videos countered statements made by members of the Donald Trump administration.

Venezuela continues to lead a fight against unilateral measures being effected, by the United States and its allies, to undermine the sovereignty, diplomacy and threatens the economy of the Maduro-led government.
