Pyongyang, Jun 23 (Prensa Latina) Kim Jong-un, chairman of the State Committee of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), on Sunday expressed satisfaction with a personal letter sent by US President Donald Trump.

According to the news agency KCNA, Kim, who is also the president of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), read Trump's letter and described the text as 'of excellent content.'

Kim Jong-un noted the US president's political judgement and courage, and promised that he would seriously contemplate the interesting content, according to KCNA.

On June 11, US President Donald Trump revelead that he had received a letter from Kim Jong-un, and on the occasion, he favored a possible new meeting with Kim, but without specifying the date.

Trump did not elaborate on the content of the letter, which he described as beautiful and warm, and reiterated previous statements that the DPRK has great potential, of which he made no references.

Washington says that it is seeking the full and verified denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, and despite Trump's statements that relations are going well, he extended the economic sanctions against the DPRK this week.
