Drones, new terrorist and Israeli weapon used against Syria

Damascus, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) Terrorist forces and Western and regional powers have used in their dirty war against Syria since 2011 all kinds of weapons in their attempts to overthrow a government that has overall support from the people and the army.

Drones, their most recent resource, have been used profusely in recent months, both by terrorist groups and by their sponsors, particularly Israel and the United States.

In recent hours, the Syrian army shot down a remote control plane in the central province of Hama. The terrorist device carried rockets and came from Idleb, the largest remaining extremist bastion in Syria.

On the slopes of Mount Hermon, on the Syrian side of the Golan, southwest of Syria, Syrian radar and electronic warfare systems detected and neutralized an Israeli drone carrying high-power bombs and C-4 explosives.

The destruction of the device occurred a few hours after the Syrian anti-aircraft defenses intercepted and destroyed a supposedly Israeli drone that intended to attack certain targets in the town of Aqraba, south of Damascus.

Both the Russian area base of Hemeimem in Latakia and positions of the Syrian army received almost daily attacks by suicide drones.

Damascus and Moscow have denounced certain Western countries are providing technological advice to manufacture them, and that the drones of the last attack were directed from American spy planes off the Mediterranean coast.

Remote control airplanes also featured in the arsenals found by the Syrian military in the enclaves abandoned by the terrorists.
