Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza has reaffirmed his country's willingness to contribute to peace and stability in the world.

In his Twitter account, the foreign minister also said that multilateralism is the only way to guarantee peace.

Arreaza indicated that the Venezuelan delegation will be giving its contributions to the central issues that will be under discussion during the 74th period of the UN General Assembly, held in New York City.

Climate change, poverty reduction and educational inclusion are some of the topics that will be debated on this occasion.

The Bolivarian Government has repeatedly insisted on the promotion of multilateralism as a mechanism to advance in a sustained manner towards peace, security and respect for human rights among peoples, through diplomacy.

As part of its efforts to ensure compliance with the United Nations Charter, in 2018 Venezuela proposed to the UN the declaration of the International Day of Multilateralism and Peace Diplomacy, which was established on April 24.

The 74th session began on September 17 and next September 24 will begin the high-level segment in which the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodriguez, and the Foreign Minister representing the South American nation are expected to participate.

The Venezuelan delegation will once again denounce the criminal blockade, the siege to Venezuelan people and the constant interference of foreign powers in the internal affairs of the country.
