La Paz, Oct 29 (Prensa Latina) Opposition in Bolivia today rejects the audit that will be carried out by international organizations to the elections of October 20, in which Evo Morales was re-elected president with a support of 47.08 of the votes.

Some 7.3 million Bolivians of the national territory and 33 countries abroad, elected by vote to the leader of the Movement To Socialism, who surpassed with 10.57 percentage points his opponent Carlos Mesa, of the Citizen Community alliance.

Mesa, not compliant with the results and be losing the elections, decided to ignore the vote alleging a monumental fraud, so he summoned his allies to burn the municipal courts to erase the evidence.

Before the denunciation of an alleged fraud, the Bolivian government requested the Organization of American States (OAS) to carry out an audit of the official vote count of the electoral process, the newspaper El Cambio publishes.

Once the audit was approved by the organization, the government of Bolivia and the opposition were requested to maintain maximum moderation.

After being backed by the governments of several countries, Mesa now rejects it and insists on violent mobilizations with a high racist content, as Bolivian Vice President Álvaro García Linera denounced the day before.

In a press conference on Tuesday, the authority invited Mesa to join the audit of international organizations and will be accompanied by Mexico, Paraguay and Peru.

'We have summoned the OAS and sister countries to clear up any doubt regarding this malicious campaign made by the losing opposition candidate, who refuses to accept the sovereign decision of the Bolivian people', confirmed the reelected vice president.

First they asked for a second round and now they ask Evo to quit. They don't even want an audit anymore, they don't want a second round, they say the elections have to be cancelled, he added.

'Mesa is a bad loser, he doesn't want to acknowledge his defeat in the October 20 elections, so he calls for violent mobilizations to destabilize the country. He prefers to set the country on fire rather than acknowledge his defeat', García Linera said.
