Ecuador proposes to create Unasur Emergency Service

In this regard, the CEO of the agency, Cesar Navas, expressed the need to build that model management at the continental level.
 
“We proposed in November 2013 to Unasur unifying model management and emergency and we are taking good steps,” the official said in statements given to Public News Agency of Ecuador and South America (Andes).
Similarly, the official revealed that recently Venezuela signed a contract to structure transactions as provided by the Integrated Security Service Ecu-911, an initiative in which Ecuador is offering advice.
Regarding the provision of this service emergency in Venezuela, said that they are building 30 centers and Venezuelan officials have done internships in Ecuador to learn about this model of care.
Furthermore, Navas also said Bolivia, Peru and Colombia are interested in replicating the experience of Ecuador in the unification of processes and protocols for management and emergency response.Among the institutions of the system in Ecuador are the police, the armed forces, fire departments, the National Transit Commission (NTC), the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS) the National Secretariat for Risk Management (SNGR), The Red Cross and other agencies.
