The number of casualties remains unknown, although there were reports of some landslides and power outages in some towns.

The NSC changed the magnitude of the temblor, which was felt at 21.33 local time (00.33 GMT on Wednesday), from 6.4 to 6.3.

The epicenter of the quake was also modified to 42 kilometers west of Ovalle and struck at a shallow depth of 36.5 kilometers.

Radio stations confirmed power outages in the city of Coquimbo and the town of Tongoy, but they didn't inform about victims
