The Bolivarian government continues today developing actions to ensure peace and incite the country’s economic growth, contrasting with the destabilizing and unconstitutional behavior of the Venezuelan National Assembly (AN).

The recent statement by Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, about the possibility of interrupting the issue of capital to the Parliament (with opposition majority), for violating the constitution and continuously disobeying the decisions of the judicial power, captured the media’s interest today.

Maduro referred to the fraud committed in the process to activate the referendum and the swear-in ceremony as legislator of three Amazonas candidates. They were vetoed by a preventive judgment by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), in accordance with irregularities in the December 6 parliamentary elections.

During his television program "En Contacto con Maduro," broadcast by state TV channel Venezolana de Television, the head of State said he requested legal advice to adopt a final position.

Maduro said that, at any circumstances, the workers will receive their wages through a direct deposit, because they are not responsible for the stupid things committed by AN president, Henry Ramos, and all their rights will be guaranteed.

While this context of tension among the main political actors in the South American nation is in red in the media’s agendas, the government efforts to protect social stability and overcome the current economic crisis also appear in the vortex of the news.

The president urged to strengthen economic measures for the people, after announcing the appointment of Carlos Farias as Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Ricardo Molina as Minister of Transport and Public Works.

About this issue, I state that complicated challenges as of the creation and implementation of the Great Sovereign Supply and Security Mission are on the way. It is aimed at satisfying the growing demands of the population access to products, goods and services.

The also president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela appointed General Staff of the National Guard, Nestor Reverol, as Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace at the Junin Theater, in central Caracas.

The government will intensify the fight against gangs, paramilitarism and drug trafficking networks, amid a period of high impact against the organized crime, he also said.
