The United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon recognized here today that the refugee crisis is something uncontrollable.

Ban-KI Moon talked about the problem in a meeting with the press at Buenos Aires' Casa Rosada (government house) after a meeting with Argentinean President Mauricio Macri as part of his agenda in Buenos Aires.

He said that the massive flux of refugees has already reached 65 million people, who have escaped from holocausts or wars from all parts of the world, even Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, South Sudan, Somalia or other countries.

He said that the UN General Assembly will analyze this serious problem inj a summit in September.

"This is a situation that is unsustainable. We are working on it to see how we can, at global level, work on shared responsibilities," he stated.

The UN diplomatic chief was grateful especially for the decision of the Argentinean government to receive Syrian refugees. As announced by the Foreign Ministry, approximately three thousand will be received.

The same way, the Secretary-General emphasized the participation of Argentina in the future mission of the United Nations in Colombia.

On this matter he said that at present 'we are in the process of sending a mission composed by observers who will monitor the historical agreement of cessation of fire between the Colombian government and the FARC-EP'.

In the bilateral question, Macri and Ban Ki-moon ratified the commitment to strengthen the joint work between Argentina and the United Nations

Ban Ki-moon came yesterday evening to Buenos Aires and this first Monday, he gave a conference along with Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra and later it met the President in the Palace of Government.

At present, 12 diplomats will aspire to be elected as Secretary General the UNO in January, 2017.
